We, both authors of this website, usually go on spontaneous rugged outdoor trips to satisfy our travel hunger. We have always loved the idea of breaking a sweat that’s why a hotel staycation trip is somewhat new to us. And what can we say? It was still enjoyable and actually fun to just rest and enjoy the rural air. Thanks to Microtel by Windham, we were lucky enough to have a relaxing and fun-filled weekend.
Microtel Batangas welcomed us with their spacious Queen Double Room which can accommodate up to 4 persons. It has a nice bathroom with a tub and an oh so comfortable bed. They also gave a room scent specific to the gender of the guest. I don’t know how this worked but our room had a boyish aroma.
As we arrived at a late time, dinner was already polluting our minds. Thankfully, the good folks at Millie’s restaurant served us anything we ordered from their diverse menu. As for us, we ordered Ceasar’s salad as appetizer and Baby back ribs as main entrée.
They were also the ones that served us breakfast the next day. It was an all you can eat buffet of morning goodies such as hotdogs, hams, scrambled eggs and other early time delights. It was a very good way to start the day.
After breakfast, we decided to roam around the hotel a bit more. We were given a chance to see the other rooms they offer.
As a complimentary to the average traveling family, Microtel also has a spacious swimming pool where kids can enjoy a cool and refreshing dip. As for our group, we decided to forego the swim and instead, visit the nearby Padre Pio shrine.
It was amazing. The church has a native feel due to the construction materials used and we visited at the exact time of the healing mass. The vibe here is serene.
Lunch time came and Japanese food was the only thing in our minds. Once again, we were served delicious meals at the Minori-Tei restaurant, a Japanese place just beside Microtel.
After lunch, we went directly to Enchanted Kingdom as part of Microtel Batanagas’ promo. For only Php 4,660, you and 3 of your friend can enjoy a delightful stay at Microtel made better with 4 free tickets to Enchanted Kingdom. We stayed here and enjoyed the fireworks as the park closed down to finish this one of a kind day.
After closing down the park, our group went straight to the gorgeous Balinese inspired resort, Cintai by Corito’s Garden.
